Before Anesthesia
Before anesthesia:
- Do not eat or drink anything for at least 8 hours before surgery.
- Avoid smoking for 12 hours before surgery.
- Arrange for a companion to accompany you and drive you home after the procedure.
- On the day of surgery, refrain from wearing jewelry, contact lenses, or dentures.
- Discuss your regular medications with the doctor to ensure they are approved for use before surgery.
- Otherwise, no additional preparations are necessary.
